Gayani is from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and convocated in 2025 with a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan's College of Law.  During her time at the College of Law, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, where she created legal information resources for newcomers to Canada and assisted permanent residents with their citizenship applications.  Gayani was awarded the Gerda R. Bloemraad Award for her volunteer work with refugees and immigrants.  During her third year, she was a student intern for CREATE Justice, where she worked on tasks supporting Saskatchewan's Access to Justice Network. 

 

Gayani also has a unique educational background as she holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.  This background equips her with a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving, which she brings to her work.  Gayani is looking forward to gaining experience in a variety of practice areas.

Outside of work, Gayani enjoys trying out new recipes, reading science fiction and spending time with friends and family.
